19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Open Heaven For Teens 9th January 2023 MESSAGE
The fruit of the Holy Spirit is the evidence of the presence of the Holy Spirit in a believer. It helps to conquer the godless nature of the flesh, as we see in the Bible text for today. It is received and activated by faith. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is given to you so you can be like Jesus.
The fruit of the Spirit includes love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. A Christian with the evidence of the fruit would definitely do exploits and win souls to the kingdom of God.
The manifestations of the fruit of the Spirit are never hidden in the life of the believer who has it. This is why I find it hilarious when a Christian says he/she loves, and yet, cannot give to neighbours; or claims to have self-control, and yet, gets angry at the slightest provocation.
Therefore, I implore you today to yield completely to the Holy Spirit so that His fruit in you can grow and manifest for all to see.
