TODAY’S MESSAGE
To be teachable is to be willing to take corrections without grumbling, murmuring, or getting offended. There is a saying that no man is an island. It is impossible to exist in isolation. This basically means that you need people around you always. However, this does not imply that you should surround yourself with just anybody. There is another saying that if you are the wisest amongst your circle of friends, then you are as foolish as they are. This means that you should be able to learn from those who surround you, and they must be adding value to you.
Teachable people do not have to be the smartest to succeed; they seek to learn and grow in any and every situation. Proverbs 3:7 says:
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
A teachable fellow is humble. Are you teachable? Do you always argue with your teachers, guardians, or elders? You can’t learn new things if you are not teachable.

Father, I refuse to allow pride to creep into my life. Please make me teachable.
