Success doesn’t just happen by chance; it is a result of diligence, persistence, and faithful effort. Today’s memory verse tells us that laziness leads to poverty while diligence brings prosperity. It is easy to admire or envy successful people, forgetting that behind their achievements lie hard work, discipline, and perseverance.
God doesn’t reward wishful thinking; instead, He honours those who put in the effort to become successful. Whether you are preparing for an exam, learning a new skill, serving in church, or helping your parents or guardians at home, give your best because your efforts will certainly yield rewards for you in due time.
Imagine a group of athletes training for a race. If they practice lazily, they will most likely lose; however, if they train diligently, pushing past the hard days, they will win eventually. The same applies to every area of life. My dear child, your diligence today will shape your tomorrow. Therefore, ensure that you work hard with the right attitude and trust that God will bless your labour. I pray that your labour in every facet of life will never be in vain, in Jesus’ name.

HYMNAL: 9 MY SOUL IS SO HAPPY IN JESUS
1 My soul is so happy in Jesus,
For He is so precious to me;
His voice it is music to hear it,
His face it is Heaven to see.
Chorus
I am happy in Him, I am happy in Him;
My soul, with delight
He fills day and night,
For I am happy in Him.
2 He sought me so long ere I knew Him,
When wandering afar from the fold,
Safe home in His arms He hath brought me,
To where there are pleasures untold.
Chorus
I am happy in Him, I am happy in Him;
My soul, with delight
He fills day and night,
For I am happy in Him.
3 His love and His mercy surround me,
His grace like a river doth flow;
His Spirit, to guide and to comfort,
Is with me wherever I go.
Chorus
I am happy in Him, I am happy in Him;
My soul, with delight
He fills day and night,
For I am happy in Him.
4 They say I shall some day be like Him,
My cross and my burden lay down;
Till then I will ever be faithful,
In gathering gems for His crown.
Chorus
I am happy in Him, I am happy in Him;
My soul, with delight
He fills day and night,
For I am happy in Him.
