Topic: There Is A Price
Memorise
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14
Read
Hebrews 12:1-3
- Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
-
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
-
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Open Heaven For Teens 16 December 2021 Message
Some teenagers envy some of their peers who excel in many endeavours; some even covet their achievements but are not ready to pay the price. When I attend events and see young people struggling to take selfies with an anointed minister of God or a very influential person in an industry, I shake my head. Taking a picture with a successful person doesnt signify any achievement; in fact, their success will never rub off on you that way. Why not work hard and become successful so that others too can take selfies with you in the future?One of my pastors said the General Overseer of a church in his state told him that he had been seriously praying to God to take him to the level of anointing on Pastor Adeboye. However, when the Lord asked him if he was ready to pay the price Pastor Adeboye paid to get to that level, he replied that he was okay the way he was. Can you pay the price of investing more time on studying to achieve the new level of success you seek in your education? Can you give cheerfully to the Lord and expect His bountiful rewards? Some things wont happen by prayers only but by paying the price.
Prayer Point
Lord, open my eyes to see what I need to do to achieve great success in life.
Bible in One Year
Amos 7:1-17 , Amos 8:1-14 , Amos 9:1-15 , Revelation 7:1-17
Hymns: I’m pressing on the upward way
- I’m pressing on
the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining
every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet
on higher ground”.
CHORUS
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith on heaven’s table-land;
Where love and joy
and light abound,
Lord, plant my feet
on higher ground.
- My heart has no desire to stay,
Where doubts arise
and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell
where these abound,
My constant aim
is higher ground. -
Beyond the mist
I fain would rise,
To rest beneath
unclouded skies,
Above earth’s turmoil
peace is found
By those who dwell
on higher ground. -
I long to scale
the utmost height,
Though rough the way,
and hard the fight,
My song while climbing shall
resound
Lord lead me on
to higher ground. -
Lord lead me up
the mountain side,
I dare not climb
without my Guide;
And heaven gained,
I’ll gaze around,
With grateful heart from higher
ground.
