Integrity Matters (2)

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Jeremiah 51-52
TEXT: “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkingness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” Psalms 138 :2.
One of the outstanding qualities that makes God so dependable and reliable is his integrity. He keeps to His word and has even exalted it above all His name. Scripture says, “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie…” Heb. 6 :18; Also in Numbers 23 :19; it elaborated, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
And if truly we are born of God, born of water and of the Spirit, we are his children with innate ability to uphold integrity for we are not mere men, but god’s (Ps. 82 :6) with God’s ability to live above all forms of unrighteousness. In other words, man is prone to lie because of his sinful nature due to the fall of the first Adam, but the redeemed man born of God with God’s Holy Spirit in him would not. The God nature in him just wouldn’t let him except something is wrong as Psalms 82 :5 – 7; spelt out.
God will not force integrity on anyone. He has given man the free will to choose but He counsels us to choose life that both us and our seed may live (Deut. 30 :19) and He has given us the Holy Ghost to help us. So choosing whatever is in line with His will is choosing life. It is choosing the kingdom of God which is righteousness and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14 :17.
God told Solomon that if he would walk before Him as David his father walked in integrity… he will establish the throne of his kingdom upon Israel forever as He promised his father David. 1 Kings 9 :4 – 5.
Child of God, there is no alternative to integrity. There is no in between. It is either you are a person of integrity or not. You know which which category you belong to and others also know who you are by your words and actions for by their fruits you shall know them. I pray for you, regarding integrity, you will not be found wanting.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, from this day, I choose integrity.
