Don’t Despise the Little

BIBLE READING: Exod. 25 – 28
TEXT:Â “And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.”
2 kings 4 :2 – 3.
The problem is not the size of what you have which you think is small, but the problem is lack of an understanding of what to do with the little to generate the much. Hear me, in that little is the much you desire. Don’t despite the little. God put the tress in the seed. When the seed is put where it belongs that is, in the right soil, the tress shoots forth. So also it applies to whatever may be in your possession whether of material or human resources. When you properly engage it with the wisdom of God, the much you desire will come forth.
The wisdom in our text quantified what she had has little not knowing the greatness in it until she got an instruction from God through His prophet. That is what you need. God teaches us to profit and leads us in the way that we should go Isaiah 48 :17. All we need to do is to inquire from Him on what we should do with what we have and when He instructs us through His word or through the words of His prophets, we must obey as a sheep and become prosperous.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray now, in this that is my hand (mention it) teach me to profit, in Jesus name.
