If Only You Can Fear God

BIBLE READING|Â Exodus 17-20
TEXT| “And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.” Exodus 1 :21.
Child of God, if only you can fear God, it is just a matter of time, the dividends will be revealed in your life. No one fears God and ends in shame. Initially, the circumstance may seem unfavorable, your position may not be popularly accepted and there may even be some physical manhandling or pain just like Joseph whom Potiphar imprisoned, but in the end it will pay off.
In our scripture text, God rewarded the midwives, He built houses for them because they feared Him. Listen, the midwives did not compromise their stand because they had the fear of God planted in their heart. They chose rather to obey God than the king of Egypt whose command in the land seemed final because they feared God rather than man as scripture counsels, “Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.” Isa. 8 :13.
If they had obeyed the king, they would have been rewarded by the king but they would have missed destiny, their stories would have ended as others, not positively made reference to. Their fear of God stood them out writing their names among the celebrated.
Listen, God will always prosper those that fear Him. The Bible says, “He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.” Psalms 145 :19.
I pray for you today, may the fear of God ever increase in your life.
