Talk Yourself Up

Omega Fire Devotional 16 September 2021 Rhema for Living Message:
The word of God is the manual of your life, get the true picture of you in it and learn to talk yourself up if you must fulfill destiny. The world is totally becoming a place of condemnation, faultfinding, criticism, etc. and believers are no exceptions either. Words of commendation appreciations and encouragements are down played and are gradually fading away, while their opposites are blown with trumpets and drummed abroad.
Have you not discovered in your own little way that when you did something well with the best of you that only 1% or none commends you, but when you make a mistake, 90% voice it out and drums it in your ears not even saying it mildly, “Oh that was good, but you need to improve on this?” Where were the 90% when you excelled? I believe they belong to the class of the nine lepers in, Luke 17 :12 – 17, who did not return to give thanks to Jesus for their healing and Jesus said, “Were there not ten cleansed?
But where are the nine?” Just 1% appreciated Jesus for what He did for them, so get this into your head, that it is your sole responsibility to talk yourself up, uplifting your spirit with the word of God and the quickening force of the Holy Spirit, whose help is always available for He is your comforter. Learn to bring out the best of you by telling yourself divine truths about you. You are a work in progress, God’s hand is mighty on you and He is processing you to showcase you to your world.
Even if you made mistake, learn from it and move on with the wisdom of God. I love what scripture says about David in, 1 Samuel 30 :6; when he was greatly distressed for the people spake of stoning due to the challenge at hand. It says “…but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.”
I pray for you, may the best of you always appear by this counsel.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive fresh grace to talk myself up!
