Truth Prevails

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Ezekiel 7-8
TEXT: “The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.” Proverbs 12 :19.
Never allow situations of life to let you ever think that lies triumph over truth. No dear! Every lie is transient, ephemeral and is sure to end up in defeat. Only the truth stands the test of time in victory.
Though a lie may enjoy certain comfort, command the praise and attention of many even the mighty, inflict pains and disappointment on the innocent by perverting judgment against them, but however its position, it is temporal and short-lived and must definitely end in total defeat.
Why? A lie has its root in the father of all lies (John 8 :44), in the defeated devil who fell lie lightening from heaven (Luke 10 :18) in a great crash, hence it must also crash in defeat. A lie is a deception that pretends to be and whatever is not cannot be no matter the frame of time, it must definitely fade away at a point in time.
Only the truth in Christ Jesus is very sure. The truth is bound to swallow up the lie just as the rod of Moses swallowed up the rods of the magicians. When the magicians cast their rods, I’m sure Pharaoh and all present applauded them, but the end of the story brought shame and humiliation to them.
Child of God, what lie has the enemy told you, or told against you? Please dust it off because a lie will always be a lie. To communicate lies to God’s children the devil uses these two methods. First he tells them lies about the circumstance of their challenge as if there is no solution out of it in God in order to make them fear and lose faith in God.
And when he finds it hard to penetrate them in that form, he proceeds to the second which is hiring men to fabricate lies against them to discourage and make them suffer depression thereby distorting their zeal and passion in service.
However it is, the truth is bound to prevail.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I crush the stronghold of lies in my life, in Jesus name.
