You Can Manifest Too(2)
by Apostle (Prof) Johnson Suleman
BIBLE READING: 2 Timothy 3-4
TEXT: Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way. 1 Cor. 14 :1; 12 :31.
Gifts are also given by the believer’s eager and earnest desire. Once your motive is right and you thirst for a grace, there is a release from the higher vessel to the lesser vessel via impartation. A believer may have more than one gift to minister to others. That is why a believer ought to desire gifts, not just one gift. But as you desire for more, maximize and manifest the gift already operational in your life to the glory of God. The man with the one talent was not productive and that which he had was taken away from him and added to those with more. That shall not be your portion!
As believers, we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth so we do not just manifest the gifts, instead we are products and light-bearers of the fruits of the Spirit which relates more directly to Christian character and sanctification (Gal. 5 :22 – 23).
So, possessing a gift does not mean that God approves of all a person does or teaches. Gifts can be perverted, imitated or counterfeited by the devil that is why as Christians, we are commanded to discern all spirits. As I always advised, when you encounter a display of power, gifts anywhere, crosscheck the word dimension, the prayer fire etc., because these are necessary in solidifying the believer’s faith.
I pray for you that you would live a fully balanced life, in Jesus Name!
My Father! My Father! As I pray now, let the gift of God in my life, manifest, in Jesus name.
