Love the Brethren

BIBLE READING: Job 40-42
TEXT: “We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that liveth not his brother abideth in death.” 1 John 3 :14
OFM Rhema For Living 8th June 2023 MESSAGE: Child of God, we the children of God are brethren and ought to live one another with the love of God. By this, we know we have passed from death unto life. We are no longer held bound by the kingdom of darkness, the kingdom of death, hatred, wickedness, evil, backstabbing, kidnapping, duping, malice, bitterness, unforgiveness etc. The love of God differentiates us from the world. Jesus said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye love one to another.” John 13 :35.
When we display, the love of God to one another, watching out for one another, not plotting any form of evil to the brethren, we are indeed living because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us.
Whoever has the Holy Spirit and yields himself to Him do not struggle to love but freely reveals the love of God obeying His command to love.
Such a person is helped by the Holy Spirit to see beyond the person he is asked to live and focus on God, the one who commands him to love. By this, he begins to see the strength of the one he is to love and not his weakness. As brethren, we are to strengthen the weak in our midst with words of encouragement, boosting their faith.
Even when people are overtaken in a fault, we are not to judge them but hearken to God’s counsel in GAL. 6 :1.
We do not have excuse not to love the brethren for it is love that makes us know we have passed from death to life.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I awake to loving the brethren.
