Seekers of the Kingdom (3)

BIBLE READING:Â Job: 34-36
TEXT: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthews 6 :33
OFM Rhema For Living 6th June 2023 MESSAGE: In continuation of the topic, “Seekers of the Kingdom, we shall yet look at some biblical personalities who sought after God in their lifestyle of first meeting kingdom needs either by offering bountifully to God or choosing to obey Him first before attending to their personal need. The first biblical example is Solomon. Scripture reports, “And Solomon loved the LORD walking in the statues of David his father…and the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there…a thousand burnt offerings…upon that altar..
In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.” God gave Solomon and open check to request anything, but see what he requested revealing his love for God and His kingdom.
He said, “Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?”
And the speech pleased the Lord that Solomon asked this thing and God blessed him with a wise and an understanding heart, added riches and honour, long life etc. 1 Kings 3 :3 – 13.. In John 6 :5 – 13; Jesus wanted to feed the great company that came unto Him and one of his disciples, Andrew said there was a little lad which had five barley loaves and small fishes and they gave them to Jesus with which He fed the multitude.
After everyone had eaten, thy had twelve baskets remaining which off course the little lad would benefit from.
Truly, no one attends to kingdom needs first that does not reveal God’s faithfulness.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive grace to seek first your kingdom.
