Man of Honor

BIBLE READING: Job 19 – 21
TEXT: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion… upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; make and female created he them.” Gen.1 :26 – 27
OFM Rhema For Living 1st June 2023 MESSAGE: God Almighty did not end creation until He made man. And when He made man, He rested to let you know how important you are as a man. You are not like any other creature. God specifically, intentionally, purposefully decided to bring man forth as VIP after He had prepared all that man would need on the earth. Also He put him in charge of every other thing he had created so he could super-see them and account to him. (Genesis 1 :26).
He created man in His image and after His likeness to exercise dominion because if man came in the same form as other creatures, his dominion would be impaired because being like other creatures is to be limited like them. He breath into man and made him a living soul. His breath gave life to every aspect of him necessary to function in the capacity God placed him.
And redemption has restored the redeemed to that original place of honour that God placed man. Whatever man lost in the first Adam has been restored in the second Adam, Jesus. You are therefore a person of honour and should walk as such. You are to walk in dominion exercising authority over all God has empowered you over and not the other way round.
You are to positively influence the world as a man of honour by letting your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthews 5 :16. You have been fashioned unto good works so you are not struggling to achieve it but to give yourself willing to God’s Spirit at work in you to achieve it.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Eph. 2 :10..
What a joy to be created a man by God!! And to be restored to God’s original intention of honour!
As you walk in that honour from this day, I see you swimming in greater honour as the path of the just. Prov. 4 :18.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive grace to walk in honour.
