TEXT: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” – 1 Corinthians 10 :13
OFM Rhema For Living 19th May 2023 MESSAGE: God did not promise us a battle free or temptation free Christian life. Temptation and trails of life abound. The difference between you and the unsaved is that in that temptation, there is a way of escape for you. For you, that temptation will lead to your glory. It does not matter how the devil came, as a child of the Almighty God, inside you lies the ability to overcome as Jesus did.
In the words of the scripture of our text; “but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted about that you are able” What a great delight to know that your God is ever in not allowing any temptation above you to come your way. Yet in that temptation. He provides a way of escape.. So when you see a temptation, your declaration should be “I am above you, there’s a way of escape for me” and you ask God for the way of escape.
That means no situation of life should make you lose your cool, rather you should be at peace because there is a solution already provided before it sprang up. What makes some believers experience a contrary situation to what God has prepared for them in trails is because of fear. Fear is a torment and a spirit that empowers the devil.
When one fears instead of exercising faith which pleases God, he or she has handed over the key of victory to the devil. That is why all through scriptures God keeps saying ‘Fear Not’ to make the redeemed stand in victory by faith.
I pray for you, you will display the victory of Christ in every trial.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I will not miss the way of escape in every temptation of life.
