TEXT:Â They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy. How he had wrought his signs in Egypt, and his wonders in the field of Zoan. – Psalm 78:42-43.
OFM Rhema For Living 13th May 2023 MESSAGE: There is power in remembrance. When you remember God’s deed in your life, your faith comes alive, you are quickened to hope in His faithfulness for His promises are very sure. The enemy fights the remembrance of wondrous acts of God in a believer’s life because he knows the power therein. If you can remember how God provided for you even when it seems a hope was lost, you will trust him for more provision no matter the circumstances.
Do not allow the enemy becloud you with his deceptive lies and make you seek alternative to God.
The children of Israel in our text kept provoking God in their sinful ways because at every challenge before them they remembered not how God delivered them in previous difficult situations. When you remember God’s marvelous works, the judgment of his mouth, it provokes you to seek the Lord, remain steadfast in Him, because He has not changed; He is still the God who can provide one’s desires or do whatever.
If He has done it before, He will do it again even much more.
The Bible says, “Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgements of his mouth;” Psalms 105 :4 – 5.
When you remember how God showed up for you in the past, you are strengthen to communize the present challenge.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to always remember your deeds in my life.
