BIBLE READING:Â 2 Chronicles 25-27
TEXT: “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” Hebrews 12 :1.
OFM Rhema For Living 12th May 2023: Whatever sin in a man’s life will ultimately stop him from accessing his throne. Satan who is the master sinner already doomed for eternity fell because of sin and he wants others to join him, so he lures them with deceitful pleasure of sin in order to disconnect them from their inheritance in Christ. That is why child of God, you should lay that sin aside now that you have time.
Gehazi must have been collecting things secretly behind his master, no sermon could make him stop until he dared it again when Naaman came and judgement fell on him.
Child of God, it is truly time to lay that sin aside and enjoy uncommon grace. It is truly time to walk in purity and see God manifest Himself in you and through you. When you walk in purity, you are steadfast and do not fear.
The Bible says, “If thou prepare thine heart…if iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away… For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be steadfast, and shalt not fear:” Job 11 :13 – 15. Fear is an opening for the devil because when you fear, you fall into the pit and right in it you are taken in the snare (Isa. 24 :17 – 18). Only purity is the escape route from fear.
Therefore, no matter the sin in your life, with the help of the Holy Ghost, you will overcome it. But it takes a strong determination, self-discipline, word consciousness and praying in the Holy Ghost to overcome sin. Make up your mind to walk in the Spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the (Gal. 5 :16).
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, take away every hidden sin in my life.
