MFM Devotional 10 July 2026 – MESSAGE
Healing is one of the gifts God has made available for the believer through the finished works of Christ. One of the ways of accessing this divine healing is through prayer. Prayer is a way of communicating our needs to God. When the children of God are in need of healing, they can always pray about it.
In our Fire Scripture, we have a classic example of healing through prayer. Hezekiah was sick and close to death. As a matter of fact, the prophet Isaiah had already brought him a message from the Lord that he would die. However, Hezekiah turned to the Lord in prayer. The Lord heard him, healed him and extended his life by fifteen years. The God of the Old Testament is still the God of the New Testament. He is still God today. Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today and forever.” He still hears when you call.
When you pray in the name of Jesus, mountains move, sicknesses disappear, things fall in place. Jesus says in Matthew 21:22, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” This includes asking for healing. The beautiful thing is that this healing is not limited to physical healing; it also entails mental, emotional, financial healing, healing in every area. Jesus heals in every area when His children call on Him. Every sickness bows to the name of Jesus. No matter what name it is called, it has to bow to the name of Jesus which is above every name.
Beloved, learn to pray in the name of Jesus for your healing from every form of sickness or disease. Instead of giving in to fear, pray. Don’t magnify your symptoms as though they were more powerful than the name of Jesus. As much as you believe in medical practices, also pray to the God who is greater than medicine. Prayer works; the name of Jesus works healing miracles. May your all-round healing manifest, in Jesus’ name.
