TOPIC: Who You Are Called To Be

1 Samuel 13–14; Luke 10:1–24

1 Corinthians 3:9 – For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

You are called unto holiness and virtue. You are God’s beloved by His mercy.

Today, the anointing and glory of a true servant of God shall overshadow your life, in the Name of Jesus.

Fire Scripture:
1 Peter 2:1-9

2 So then, stop doing anything to hurt others. Don’t lie anymore, and stop trying to fool people. Don’t be jealous or say bad things about others. 2 Like newborn babies hungry for milk, you should want the pure teaching that feeds your spirit. With it you can grow up and be saved. 3 You have already tasted the goodness of the Lord.

4 The Lord Jesus is the living stone. The people of the world decided that they did not want this stone. But he is the one God chose as one of great value. So come to him. 5 You also are like living stones, and God is using you to build a spiritual house. You are to serve God in this house as holy priests, offering him spiritual sacrifices that he will accept because of Jesus Christ. 6 The Scriptures say,
“Look, I have chosen a cornerstone of great value,
and I put that stone in Zion.
Anyone who trusts in him will never be disappointed.”

7 So, that stone brings honor for you who believe. But for those who don’t believe he is
“the stone that the builders refused to accept,
which became the most important stone.”
8 For them he is also
“a stone that makes people stumble,
a rock that makes people fall.”
People stumble because they don’t obey what God says. This is what God planned to happen to those people.

9 But you are his chosen people, the King’s priests. You are a holy nation, people who belong to God. He chose you to tell about the wonderful things he has done. He brought you out of the darkness of sin into his wonderful light.

MFM Mountain Top Life Devotional MESSAGE

The world is going through dark and perilous times. The catalogue of unpleasant events, tragedies, and catastrophies that occur on a daily basis is unprecedented. Darkness now covers the earth and gross darkness covers the people. Wars, pestilences, hunger, and deaths are recorded at an alarming rate all over the world. Insurgency and terrorism have made mankind an endangered species.

Many believers and unbelievers are afraid, hopeless, helpless and unhappy. The faith of many has failed.

In these dark times, you can be a light for others. You can be hope for the hopeless and help for the helpless. You can lift the faith of those whose faith is failing. You can restore those who have fallen away. These are the great works you are called to do for the Lord and His kingdom.

You are called to be salt to those whose lives are tasteless and meaningless. You are called to be light to those who live in darkness and the shadow of death. You are called to be a source of joy to those who are sorrowful and mourning, an encourager and source of succour to those who are discouraged and thinking of giving up in life. You are called to demonstrate Christ’s love to those who are loveless, unloved, abandoned and without friends.

You are also called to be a pathfinder and guide to those who are lost in the wilderness of life. You are to lead them out of the broadway they have travelled all their lives to the narrow way that leads to heaven. You are to be a deliverer, like Moses, to many souls that are held down in bondage and slavery in “Egypt’’ by “Pharaoh”.

Beloved, God brought you to the world to fulfil the purposes mentioned above. He called you to serve Him and mankind with the life and talents He has given you. In the end, it is important that you are adjudged a profitable servant. You are called to be God’s purpose partner in the plan of redemption.

Arise and fulfil these purposes. God bless you immensely, in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. Father, use me for Your glory, in the Name of Jesus.
2. I refuse to be an opposite of who God has called me to be, in the Name of Jesus.
3. I will not fail God, in the Name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. Father, give me fresh anointing to fulfil my divine purposes, in the Name of Jesus.
5. Powers assigned to weaken, weary and discourage me, die, in the Name of Jesus.
6. My Joseph’s dreams, receive the power of resurrection and be fulfilled, in the Name of Jesus.
7. Father, make me a vessel unto honour forever, in the Name of Jesus.
