Fire Scripture: Philippians 2:9-11
9 So God raised him up to the most important place
and gave him the name that is greater than any other name.
10 God did this so that every person will bow down to honor the name of Jesus.
Everyone in heaven, on earth, and under the earth will bow.
11 They will all confess, “Jesus Christ is Lord,”
and this will bring glory to God the Father.
MESSAGE
In Romans 10:13, the Bible says that whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. The Name of Jesus is so powerful that its supremacy will continue even after this life! We are taught to pray in the Name of Jesus. His Name is the most powerful weapon against the enemy. No other name in heaven or on earth can contest the power in the Name of Jesus. It is the believer’s testimony and power.
David said in Psalms 118:11, “They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the Name of the LORD I will destroy them.” David did not need to fight with any other weapon apart from the Name of the Lord. Acts 4:12, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Beloved! God has equipped the believer with the Name of His Son. The devil can fight but once you mention the Name of Jesus, he is already defeated! Calling the Name of Jesus brings Him into your battle and allows Him to give you absolute victory.
The Name of Jesus is your authority. It means that you must have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. You must believe that He came and died. There are people who were not Christians and called on the Name of Jesus and He delivered them. But right after that encounter, they became believers.
In 2 Timothy 2:19, the Bible says “…Let everyone that nameth the Name of Christ depart from iniquity.” The Name of Jesus is powerful when you live the life of Christ! Steer clear of iniquity and you will enjoy the power of that wonder-working Name. The Bible also says that the Name of the Lord is a strong tower, only the righteous is safe when they run into it.
Beloved, if you do not repent and be holy, it will only be an ordinary name. Is the Lord pointing out to you to repent of something? Do not hold back. Be at peace with God and see His awesome power whenever you call upon Him.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. I repent of all my sins, in the Name of Jesus.
2. I receive the life that Christ purchased for me on the cross of Calvary, in the Name of Jesus.
3. I receive the believer’s authority, by the power in the Blood of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Anything in me making me a powerless Christian, die to your root, in the Name of Jesus.
5. O Lord, deliver me from the wars against my soul, in the Name of Jesus.
6. I run into the Name of the Lord for safety, in the Name of Jesus.
7. I put on the Lord Jesus Christ, in the Name of Jesus.
