𝕋𝕆ℙ𝕀ℂ: Great Faith (4)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 1; Deuteronomy 2; Deuteronomy 3; 2 Corinthians 4; 2 Corinthians 5
MEMORY VERSE: Galatians 3:11: But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: Stubborn faith yields uncommon results.
PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: May you receive answers to every long standing request, in Jesus’ name.
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 2:1-12(KJV)
1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.
2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
6 But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
MFM Daily Devotional 21st February 2026 | MESSAGE
We move forward in our series on great faith. Today, we will examine another kind of faith – the faith that never gives up or stubborn faith. Four friends bring their paralytic friend to Jesus in hopes of getting healing.
On getting to the house where Jesus is, the crowd is so large that there is no room for them to go through. These guys refuse to be discouraged. They proceed to open the roof of the house and lower their friend right at the feet of Jesus. Now, Jesus just has to notice them. There’s a great lesson here: you have to keep knocking on heaven’s door until you are noticed and given an answer. Do not be discouraged by the fact that others are getting speedy answers while there seems to be no way for you. It might just be that you need
to take a radical step of faith like opening the roof, or making a vow like Hannah did (1 Samuel 1:11).
The first statement Jesus made to the man was, “Son, thy sins be forgiven thee” (v. 5). Could his sins have placed him in that situation? Beloved, sin can hinder the effectiveness of your faith. You need to repent and confess before you actually move God with your faith. Jesus went ahead to heal the man, not minding the dissenting scribes.
Beloved, God can do all things when we have faith in Him. Learn from this story of the paralytic and his friends. Surround yourself with the right company, people who will build your faith and lead you to Jesus, not people who will discourage you and suggest ungodly solutions. You yourself should learn to have radical faith, the kind of faith that holds on to God, saying, “If you don’t bless me, you’re not going anywhere.” May your faith be strengthened for uncommon results, in the name of Jesus.
