TOPIC: Conditions for Getting Prayers Answered (7)

John 15:12-24
MFM MOUNTAIN TOP LIFE DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE:
Today, we are looking again at the conditions for getting prayers answered. Some of them are clearly stated in our Fire Scripture today. We will look at John 15:12 first. It states, “This is my command that ye love one another, as I have loved you.”
For prayers to be answered, we need to love our neighbours as ourselves. We should do to our neighbours what we would like them to do to us, had roles been changed. So many people do not have an iota of love in their hearts and they are praying, expecting answers. No, God does not work like that. Even God loves the unlovable. Roman 5:8 has this to say, “But God commandeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
We were not worthy of God’s considerations and yet while we were still in our filthy and fallen state, He came to us, took us up and washed us with the blood of His only begotten Son, so that we too can be called the children of God. Matthew 7:12 reads, “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them; for this is the law and the prophets.”
Dearly Beloved, the problem we have in the world today is very profound. People are so selfish and callous to their fellow human beings. Some treat their fellow human beings like trash, as if they are animal species.
I remember the story of that family, who brought their maid for deliverance a long time ago. Throughout the deliverance session, we discovered that the girl was downcast and bitter. We were moved to speak to her during the counselling session on what transpired between her and the master of the house. She explained that her master told her to eat the remnant of yesterday food whilst she pounded yam for them to enjoy and she decided to deal with the family by attacking their children.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
1. Anything in my life attacking my glory, come out and die, in the Name of Jesus.
2. Power of God, enter into my life, in the Name of Jesus.
3. O Lord, let me know Your voice, in the Name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. I refuse to be put to shame, by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the Name of Jesus.
5. O Lord, do something in my life that will move me forward, in the Name of Jesus.
6. Glory of God, envelop my life like a blanket, in the Name of Jesus.
7. O Lord, arise and destroy the enemy of my prayer altar, in the Name of Jesus.
