TOPIC: Losing Your Life
When you get a vaccine, there’s something about it that’s counterintuitive; it goes against your intuition. Like… injecting a dead virus in your veins to prevent contracting a live one? But there ‘are’ many good things that seem counterintuitive.
Like Luke chapter 9. Jesus says, “Whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.” ‘That’ rubs your intuition the wrong way! But it’s true. So, forget your life for Christ’s sake; think of others first; give generously even when you don’t have much; step aside and let someone else take the credit when you did most of the work; make Jesus famous even when it makes ‘you’ look bad. It’s the way you lose your life. But that’s okay, you’ll find your ‘real’ one in Jesus.
