Today’s Word: The Scripture tells the story of how Jesus surprised a Samaritan woman at a well when He offered to give her “living water,” meaning eternal life. She immediately began to view the circumstances from a human perspective and said, “But You don’t have anything to draw water with from the well. How can You give me living water?”
How many times do we do the same thing? God tells us He is going to do something great in our life, but we start looking at what we don’t have, the obstacles in our path. Before long, we talk ourselves out of it. But we serve a supernatural God. He can take something that is ordinary, breathe on it, and turn it into something extraordinary. All the odds may look against you, but you and God are a majority. If you will be confident in what God has given you, He can take what looks like little and turn it into much.
A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for giving me the living water that so satisfies me that I never thirst again. Thank You that You are breathing into my life and changing me into someone extraordinary to do the extraordinary. I believe that You and I are a majority. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
