Joel Osteen Devotional 27th January 2025 TOPIC: Scars Are Signs
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,” says the LORD.
Jeremiah 30:17, NKJV
TODAY’S WORD
We all have wounds from our past mistakes. Maybe we got off course, gave in to temptation, did things we’re not proud of, hung around the wrong people. The enemy would love to use those failures to keep us living in regrets and guilt, focused on what we did wrong. But we can let them remind us of the grace of God and how He heals our wounds. He wants you to think about His mercy and forgiveness.

Don’t try to hide the scars that remain. Those scars aren’t a sign that you’re finished; they’re a sign that you’ve been healed, forgiven, and redeemed. They’re a sign that you’re ready for action. If God was through with you, you wouldn’t still be here. There’s something for you to do. You have an assignment. Somebody needs what you have.
Somebody needs your love, somebody needs your smile, somebody needs your gifts. Yes, you have scars. But the scars don’t disqualify you; the scars prepare you to help others. They’re a reminder of how God brought you through, and He’ll bring them through as well.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You that You have borne our griefs and carried our sorrows and by Your stripes we are healed. Thank You that the scars tell the story of what You’ve done in my life and of Your greatness to forgive and redeem. I trust that You will use those scars to help others find healing as well. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
