Psalm 31:24, NIV – Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.

Today’s Word with Joel Osteen Devotional 13th March 2021
After David was anointed to be the next king of Israel, instead of going to the palace, he went back to the shepherds fields. He was overlooked and mistreated by his family. Later, King Saul became jealous of David and tried to kill him. David had to live on the run, hiding in caves and the desert. But David’s attitude was, I am not quitting. I’m going to become who God says I am. One reason David took the throne is that he wanted it badly enough.

How badly do you want what God put in your heart? Badly enough to outlast your critics, to overlook some insults, to do the right thing when the wrong thing is happening, to keep pursuing when all the circumstances say it’s not going to happen? You have to have a holy determination. It’s a fire inside, a passion, knowing that it’s supposed to be yours. When everything says it’s not going to happen, you kick into a new gear. You want it on another level.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for the dreams You put in my heart and the promises You’ve spoken to me. Thank You that You put greatness in my heart, and I can stir up the fire inside. I declare that I am not going to settle for less than what You put in my heart. In Jesus Name, Amen.
