Today’s Word
Timothy was a young man who was being mentored by the apostle Paul. Paul must have seen him start to get discouraged and lose his passion. It’s easy to settle where we are and not want to stretch, to not get out of our comfort zone, especially when we’ve tried before and it didn’t work out. Timothy may have had disappointments and setbacks in his ministry. Paul reminded Timothy to fan into flame the gift God had given him.
God is saying to you what He said to Timothy. “There are gifts in you right now, and all they need is some stirring. Stir up those dreams you’ve given up on. Stir up that healing you quit believing for.” Start fanning that flame. Start believing again. There are gifts and talents that you haven’t tapped into. There is favor, increase, and new levels. You haven’t reached your destiny. Don’t let what hasn’t worked out talk you out of what God has in your future. You may have some big obstacles, but the forces for you are greater than the forces against you. You and God are a majority.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for entrusting me with gifts and talents. Thank You that I have greatness in me because You put it there. Help me stir up my faith and let the passion become a flame. I’m going to take steps to grow the gift You gave me. I’m going to come up higher. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
