Today’s Scripture

Today’s Word
Do you need to take off a mask today? Do you need to quit pretending, hiding a weakness or sin that you need to deal with? In the Scriptures, the Pharisees were known for doing things for show, trying to create a religious image of who they wanted people to think they were, instead of just being who they were.
It’s easy to start living image-driven. “I want you to see me as someone greater, smarter, prettier, and more popular than others.” But the truth is that who God made you to be is the best you. You don’t need the image; just be you.
You’re already made in the image of God, which is the best image possible. You don’t need to pretend. You don’t need to do things for show and play games. You have no reason to live to please people. Having their approval is overrated.
It doesn’t move you toward your destiny. Be confident in who God made you to be. You’re going to live freer, happier, more fulfilled, and become all you were created to be.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You for the invitation to drop my masks and deal openly and honestly with the hidden issues that hold me back. Search my heart and show me where my motives are wrong and where I’m pretending. I want to be real so You can use me for Your highest purposes. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
