Joel Osteen Daily Devotional 24 December 2023 – Today’s Word with Joel & Victoria Osteen. Read Sunday Daily Devotional Message by Joel Osteen.

TOPIC: Give Birth to Your Dreams

Today’s Scripture
Luke 2:7, NLT – She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.

Today’s Word
Sometimes God asks us to do things that are difficult. When Joseph and Mary traveled the ninety miles from Nazareth to Bethlehem, Mary was nine months’ pregnant and riding on a donkey for ten days. Day after day, out in the elements, tired and hungry, finding places to sleep at night, so uncomfortable. Then arriving in Bethlehem, only to find no place to stay other than a manger with some sheep. Yet we never read that they complained or got sour when circumstances weren’t what they expected. They kept being faithful and gave birth to the Messiah of the world.

God doesn’t always do things the way we have planned. His ways are not our ways. If you don’t stay open, you’ll be frustrated when someone shuts you out, upset because the door doesn’t open. Make up your mind that you’re not going be moved by what’s not changing, not discouraged over how long it’s taking. Keep doing the right thing and moving forward in faith. You’re going to give birth to dreams bigger than you’ve imagined.

Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You are taking me on a journey of faith that is beyond my dreams. Thank You that I can trust You when things don’t work out as I’ve planned. Help me to keep being faithful to do what’s right and to handle the burdens with Your grace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

About Joel Osteen
Raised in Houston, Texas, with a loving family of seven and world-renowned parents in full-time ministry, Joel Osteen never imagined that he would follow so closely in his father’s footsteps. As a young man, his training and interests were behind the scenes in television production, though he was close to his father in ministry.

“There’s no greater feeling than being able to help people rise higher and overcome something and feel better about themselves. I think that we’re all made to help others, to lift people UP.”- JOEL OSTEEN

His father always encouraged him to preach, but Joel would politely decline time and time again until one day in October 1999 when his father was admitted to the hospital with kidney complications. Joel finally agreed to preach the next Sunday, and his father passed the following week. Joel’s first sermon was the last his father ever heard. Joel and his wife, Victoria, were suddenly thrust into full-time leadership of Lakewood Church.
