Joel Osteen Daily Devotional 20th October 2025: Doubts
Joel Osteen Daily Devotional 20th October 2025 (Monday) Message. Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen.

TOPIC: Doubts

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
The other followers kept telling Thomas, “We saw the Lord.” But Thomas said, “I will not believe it until I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were and put my hand into his side.” – John 20:25, NCV

TODAY’S WORD
Thomas had spent three years being taught by Jesus and watching Him perform miracles. You would think that if the other disciples kept telling him that Jesus was alive, Thomas would have believed. But Thomas had doubts, and he was vulnerable and honest about it. He could have thought, “I can’t let the other disciples know that I’m not sure now even though they believe it. I have to keep my mask on. I have to keep my image up.” But Thomas said, in effect, “I’m not a pretender. I’m not trying to impress the others. I won’t believe it until I see and feel it.” What’s amazing is that Jesus didn’t get upset. Jesus understood and came to Thomas, saying, “Here’s your proof. Stop doubting and believe.”

So often we think we have to hide our struggles, hide our doubts, or we’re not a person of faith. We think God will find fault and make us feel like we’re failing. But that’s not the way God is. When you’re honest and tell Him your doubts and fears, He comes and meets you in your need.

PRAYER OF THE DAY
“Father, thank You that I don’t have to hide my weaknesses, doubts, fears, or shortcomings. Thank You that Your power goes to work in me when I am honest. I humbly admit that I don’t have it all together, but I’m glad You’re still working on me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
