TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Then the word of the LORD came to Jonah a second time: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.”

TODAY’S WORD
The Scripture says, “God, who is rich in mercy.” It could have said God has an ample supply of mercy, but it says “rich” to let us know that God has an abundance of mercy. He is so merciful that His purpose will even override our mistakes. His plan will supersede our wrong decisions. Just ask Jonah. God told him to go preach to the city of Nineveh, but he disobeyed and would have died if God hadn’t sent to big fish to save him. Not only was Jonah spared, but he was given a second chance to fulfill God’s plan.
God is so merciful that He’s not only going to work out His plan for your life, open doors and bring the right people, but He’s preplanned the fish to rescue you when you go the wrong way. He’s preplanned for the times you fail, you doubt, or you put off doing the right thing. That’s not an excuse to live sloppy, but it is an encouragement that God in His mercy will still bring to pass His purpose. There are destiny moments still in your future.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You that when I make a mistake and cause a mess, You don’t say, ‘Too bad. You had your chance. Now you’re on your own.’ Thank You for Your mercy that covers me and gives me second chances. I believe You will bring about Your purpose in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
