TODAY’S WORD
In John 6, Jesus was teaching thousands of people in a remote area. Late in the day, the people were tired and hungry. Jesus told His disciples to feed the people, but the only available food was five barley loaves and two fish that a young boy had brought. The boy could have thought, “Forget it. This won’t feed two of us let alone this crowd.” He could have discounted what he had and hid his lunch. But he gave it to the disciples. Jesus blessed and multiplied it, and everyone was fed.
Your gift may seem small, but when you release it to God, it will multiply. As long as you hide it, as long as you keep it buried, it will be two fish and five loaves. You’ll never see your potential until you release it. Are you hiding your gifts, your dreams, your creativity? Have you convinced yourself that it’s too small, that you don’t have the talent and could never do something significant? If you quit discounting what you have and start releasing it, God will multiply your influence, your resources, your talent.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
“Father, thank You for the gifts and talents You have given me and how You multiply them whenever I put them into Your hands. Help me to not discount and hide what I have but rather release it to You. I believe that Your grace, favor, and mercy will abound in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
