TODAY’S WORD
Sometimes we’re striving so hard to make changes in our lives, trying to fix this, be more of that, improve here, stay more focused there. But if you’re trying to be a self-made person, to do it all on your own, you’re going to struggle. “Why am I still dealing with this? Why can’t I get it together? If I just try harder.” That’s a constant battle. Before long, you’re down on yourself, feeling wrong inside. The enemy would love for you to stay feeling like you don’t measure up, you don’t deserve to be blessed. That’s being against yourself, and it’s limiting your growth. It’s keeping you from God’s best. Don’t believe those lies. Rather than keep striving, you have to let God be your maker. You already belong to Him, He’s accepted and approved you as His child, and when you know that He is making you, that He’s in control of the process of change, it takes the pressure off. Be at peace, enjoy where you are right now, and let Him do what only He can do.
PRAYER FO TODAY
“Father, thank You that I can stop striving and know that You are God. Help me to stop trying to change what only You can change and stop trying to fix things over which I have no control. I declare that I’m going to stay in peace and know that You are making me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
