Have you ever really thought about what it means to minister to The Lord? The verse above speaks of Prophets and Teachers who did just that, but what does it mean? It’s simple yet vital for our Christian growth. I’ll show you.
Ministering to The Lord is intentional, not passive. You must consciously set time aside to do so. First, focus all your attention on Him in worship: television off, mobile phone off, doors locked—just you and Him. Then, speak words of praise to Him from your spirit, words that exalt Him as God, words of worship and thanksgiving. Tell Him what you’re praising Him for. Tell Him how wonderful, loving and kind He is; give substance to your praises of Him. The Lord responds to you when you minister to Him like this. Have these deliberate sessions regularly and anticipate chain-breaking power to course through your life in greater measure.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Thank You, Lord, for granting me the honour to minister to You, which I shall indulge in more from now. My spirit rejoices as I exalt your Name now and forevermore. I love You, my dear Lord God Almighty!
