BIBLE VERSE FOR TODAY:“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” – 2 Chronicles 20:12
There are moments in life when we simply do not know what to do.
Unexpected challenges arise. Doors close. Difficult decisions confront us, and the future seems uncertain. In those moments, we may feel overwhelmed by our own limitations.
King Jehoshaphat faced such a moment.
Surrounded by powerful armies, he knew that Judah did not have the strength to defeat its enemies. Instead of relying on military power or human wisdom, he turned to God in prayer and humbly confessed:
“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.”
What a powerful declaration of faith!
Jehoshaphat acknowledged his weakness, but he also declared his confidence in God’s power. He understood that when human resources are exhausted, God’s resources are unlimited.
Sometimes, the greatest act of faith is admitting that we do not have all the answers.
God never asks us to carry life’s burdens alone.
He invites us to seek His wisdom, depend on His strength, and trust His direction. When we fix our eyes on Him instead of our problems, fear begins to lose its grip, and faith begins to grow.
Keeping our eyes on God means believing that He is still in control when circumstances appear chaotic.
It means trusting His promises when emotions tell us otherwise.
It means waiting patiently for His guidance instead of rushing ahead in our own understanding.
The God who guided Jehoshaphat is the same God who leads His children today.
He knows the way when you cannot see it.
He opens doors that no one can shut.
He makes a way where there seems to be no way.
So today, whatever challenge you are facing, lift your eyes to the Lord. He is faithful, wise, and able to do far more than you can imagine.
For when your eyes are fixed on God, your heart can rest in His perfect care.
Let’s Pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being my refuge, my strength, and my ever-present help in times of trouble. Thank You that I never have to face life’s challenges alone.
Lord, there are times when I do not know what to do, but today I choose to fix my eyes on You. Give me wisdom where I need direction, peace where I feel anxious, and faith where I have been tempted to fear.
Help me not to rely on my own understanding but to trust Your perfect guidance in every situation. Teach me to wait patiently for Your timing and to walk confidently in Your will.
Thank You for fighting my battles, making a way where there seems to be no way, and faithfully leading me every step of the journey.
