BIBLE VERSE FOR TODAY: “After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.” – Job 42:10
The story of Job is a testimony of unwavering faith in the midst of unimaginable suffering. He endured loss, grief, physical pain, and misunderstanding, yet he continued to seek God.
One of the most remarkable moments in his story comes in Job 42:10. Before God restored Job’s fortunes, Job prayed for his friends—the very people who had wrongly accused and discouraged him.
What a profound example of grace.
Instead of clinging to resentment, Job chose intercession. Instead of demanding vindication, he brought others before God in prayer. His heart was turned toward mercy, even after experiencing deep hurt.
This verse reminds us that God cares not only about our outward circumstances but also about the condition of our hearts.
Unforgiveness can become a heavy burden that keeps us trapped in bitterness. But when we release our hurts to God and choose forgiveness, we make room for His healing and peace to work within us.
Job’s restoration was an act of God’s sovereign grace, not a formula that guarantees material blessing whenever someone forgives. Yet his story clearly shows that God delights in restoring, healing, and renewing those who continue to trust Him.
Perhaps today you are waiting for God to restore something in your life—a relationship, your peace, your hope, or a season of loss.
Remember that the Lord is able to bring beauty from ashes and hope from hardship. His timing is perfect, and His purposes are always good.
Choose to trust Him. Choose to forgive. Choose to keep praying, even when the answers seem delayed.
The God who sustained Job is still faithful today.

Heavenly Father, thank You for being the God of restoration and mercy. You see every pain, every disappointment, and every unanswered question in my life.
Lord, help me to forgive those who have hurt or misunderstood me. Remove bitterness from my heart and replace it with Your compassion and peace.
Teach me to pray even for those who have wronged me and to trust You with every desire for justice and healing. Restore what has been broken according to Your perfect will, and renew my hope in Your faithfulness.
Strengthen my faith to keep believing that You are working, even when I cannot yet see the outcome. May my life reflect Your grace, patience, and love.
Thank You for never abandoning me and for bringing restoration in ways that display Your goodness and glory.
