BIBLE VERSE FOR TODAY: “With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all.” – Acts 4:33
The early church was not known for wealth, influence, or political power. It was known for something far greater—the power of God and the grace of God at work in ordinary people.
Acts 4:33 tells us that the apostles boldly proclaimed the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and as they did, “God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all.”
Their courage did not come from self-confidence.
It came from the Holy Spirit.
They had faced opposition, threats, and persecution, yet they continued to speak about Jesus with conviction because they knew He was alive. The resurrection was not just a message they preached; it was the foundation of their hope and the source of their strength.
The same grace that empowered the early believers is available to us today.
God’s grace strengthens us when we feel weak.
It gives us courage when we are afraid.
It helps us remain faithful when the world pressures us to compromise.
It enables us to love, serve, and persevere even in difficult circumstances.
Acts 4:33 also reminds us that our lives should point others to Christ.
Whether through our words, our actions, or our character, we are called to bear witness to the transforming power of Jesus. We may not stand before crowds, but we can reflect His love in our homes, workplaces, churches, and communities.
When God’s grace is at work within us, it becomes evident in how we live.
Our faith becomes steady.
Our compassion becomes deeper.
Our hope becomes contagious.
Our testimony becomes a light to others.
So today, ask God to fill you with fresh boldness and abundant grace. Trust Him to work through your life in ways that bring glory to His name.
Because when God’s grace rests upon His people, He can accomplish far more than they could ever do in their own strength.
Let’s Pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the power of the resurrection and for the grace You pour out on Your children. Thank You for calling me to be a witness for Jesus Christ.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me the courage to live boldly for You. Help me not to be ashamed of the gospel but to share Your love with humility, wisdom, and compassion.
Let Your grace be powerfully at work in my life. Strengthen me in weakness, encourage me in trials, and use me to bring hope to those around me.
May my words and actions reflect the truth that Jesus is alive and reigning. Let my life be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness.
