BIBLE VERSE FOR TODAY: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” – Isaiah 6:8
God is still calling people to serve Him.
In Isaiah 6:8, the prophet had just experienced a powerful encounter with God’s holiness. After being cleansed and forgiven, he heard the Lord ask, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us?” Without hesitation, Isaiah responded, “Here am I. Send me!”
Isaiah’s willingness to serve was born out of gratitude.
He knew he had received God’s mercy, and his heart was ready to obey wherever God led him. His response was not based on confidence in his own ability but on confidence in the God who had called him.
The same invitation is extended to every believer today.
God calls us to represent Him in our homes, workplaces, schools, churches, and communities. He may not call everyone to stand behind a pulpit or travel to distant nations, but He calls each of us to be faithful witnesses of His love and truth wherever we are.
Saying, “Here am I. Send me,” means surrendering our plans to God’s will.
It means being willing to speak His truth with love.
It means serving others with humility.
It means making ourselves available for His purpose, even when the path seems challenging.
God does not choose people because they are the most qualified.
He equips those who are willing to obey.
When we offer Him our lives, He provides the wisdom, strength, and grace needed to accomplish His work.
Today, ask yourself: Is there an area where God has been calling you to step forward in faith?
Do not allow fear, doubt, or feelings of inadequacy to hold you back.
The God who called Isaiah is still calling ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things for His glory.
May your heart be ready to answer, “Here am I. Send me.”
Let’s Pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your amazing grace and for calling me into Your service. Thank You for cleansing me through Jesus Christ and making me part of Your kingdom.
Lord, give me a willing heart like Isaiah. Help me to set aside fear, excuses, and self-doubt so that I may follow wherever You lead.
Open my eyes to the opportunities You place before me each day to share Your love, encourage others, and serve with humility.
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and equip me with the wisdom, courage, and strength to fulfill the purpose You have prepared for my life.
May my response always be, “Here am I, Lord. Send me.” Use my life to bring glory to Your name and to make Your love known to the world.
