Life often brings moments when we feel vulnerable. Challenges arise unexpectedly, uncertainty surrounds us, and fear tries to find a place in our hearts. In those moments, we naturally search for something that can give us security and peace.
Psalm 91:2 gives us a powerful declaration of faith. It reminds us that true safety is not found in circumstances, possessions, or human strength, but in God alone. The psalmist boldly declares that the Lord is his refuge and his place of safety.
A refuge is a place we run to during danger. It is where we find shelter when storms come. In the same way, God invites us to run to Him when life feels overwhelming. He does not promise that storms will never come, but He promises that we will not face them alone.
Trust is the key that allows us to experience this refuge. When we place our confidence in God, we begin to rest in His presence rather than living in constant fear. We learn to depend on His protection, His wisdom, and His care.

Lord God, You are my refuge and my place of safety. In a world that often feels uncertain, I choose to place my trust in You.

Teach me to trust You more deeply each day. Let my heart rest in the assurance that You are protecting, guiding, and watching over me.
Thank You for being my safe place and my faithful God. I put my trust in You.
