TOPIC: One More Plague

TEXT: Exodus 11(NKJV)

Daily Fountain Devotional 27 May 2022 MESSAGE

As a result of Pharaoh’s stubbornness, God decided to bring one more plague on him and Egypt. This would be the knock-out plague that would make Pharaoh to release the Israelites. The Israelites were advised to borrow gold and silver articles from their Egyptian neighbours, which when they did was a success because of God’s favour.

This last plague as announced by Moses would destroy all the firstborn of men and animals in Egypt including Pharaoh’s firstborn. There would be a great cry in Egypt that they would allow the Israelites to go. However, the plague would not touch the firstborn of the Israelites. Proverbs 29:1 says that the person who is often rebuked but hardens his neck suffers sudden destruction.

Pharaoh suffered such a fate when he lost the heir to his throne to the plague. People who do not want to obey God experience such things. One more plague made the difference between life in slavery and freedom for the Israelites.

That last divine plague opened the door to their financial miracle and national freedom. Are you in any form of spiritual, physical or financial bondage? Call on God and expect His one more plague that will deal with your detractors and challenges to set you free.

PRAYER: Deliver me, O God, from every satanic bondage and set me free in Jesus name. Amen.
