TOPIC: Do What Is Right
TEXT: Deuteronomy 24:10-22(NKJV)
Daily Fountain Devotional 10 July 2022 MESSAGE
Doing the right thing may seem difficult but it is not impossible. Today’s passage highlights how best to relate with one another thereby exercising justice in all its forms. When you lend anything to your neighbour, do not enter his or her house to collect it back (vv. 10-11).
Whatever you collect from the poor as a collateral for what you gave him/her should not be with you in your house till the following day (vv. 12-13). The wages or salaries of your hired servants should be paid in due time without any delay (vv. 14-15).
Each person should be responsible for his/her sin (v.16). Do not be biased in judgment no matter who is involved (vv.17-18). Remember to share your left overs with the strangers, the fatherless and the widows (vv. 19-22).
Today, both the Church and the society are not faithful in discharging the aforementioned instructions. Dear reader, in which area are you guilty?
The summary of the whole thing is that you should show kindness in all your dealings with people at every point in time. Make amends today where necessary.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to be committed to doing your will all the days of my life. Amen.
