💭 Daily Devotional for Today – October 13, 2025 Reflection:
Solomon, the wisest king, begins Proverbs by urging his son to listen. True wisdom begins with humility — a heart willing to hear and obey. The “instruction of the father” represents godly guidance, while the “law of the mother” reflects nurturing wisdom rooted in love.
When we honor godly counsel, it becomes “an ornament of grace” — beauty that adorns our lives. Disobedience, on the other hand, leads to shame and brokenness. Listening to wise instruction positions us to walk in divine favor, avoid pitfalls, and live gracefully in a world of confusion.
Let your heart be teachable today. God often speaks through His Word, spiritual leaders, and even simple parental advice. Treasure wisdom — it is priceless and eternal.
