SCRIPTURE: “‘I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink.’ So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel” (Exodus 17:6, NIV).
MESSAGE: Everything in the Old Testament points us to Jesus Christ; this reference to water is one example. When the people were wandering in the wilderness, God gave them water to drink to keep them alive; this was a foreshadowing of Jesus, who is the living water for all those who accept Him.
