TOPIC: MY GREAT EXPECTATION
MEMORY VERSE: Ps. 62:5: “My soul wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from Him.”
READING: Ps. 30:5; 2 Kgs. 4:8-17; Jer. 29:11; Rom. 8:19.
MESSAGE: Has the Lord spoken about His promise for you? Prepare for it. Has God said that He would make you great; to bless you and those who bless you and curse those who curse you? Prepare then for greatness. Preparation implies that you should make available the necessary conditions in readiness to receive what you expect.
The objective of preparation is your expectations. God is delaying the manifestation of the expectations of some people because they have not prepared for them. The first step to take in your preparation is to be separated and dedicated to the service of the Lord. Always pray for the revelation of your expectations. This will boost your faith. When you are expecting something big, be ready for a fight and learn to overcome trials and temptations.
The night of weeping is a time of preparation for the expectation that will come in the morning (Ps. 30:5). Therefore, prepare to endure until the hour of divine visitation, restoration, and manifestation of your expectation in the morning. Until Elisha appeared in her house, the Shunamite woman was completely satisfied with her lifetime achievement. She no doubt had need for a child but after a long time of waiting she gave up trying (2 Kgs. 4:13).
Many believers are like the Shunamite woman. They have given up on their expectations. They remain complacent, satisfied with what they already have achieved, even when it is short of the promise of God for their lives. No matter your age or situation in life, the Lord says that I should tell you that the season of your expectation has come, so prepare to receive it now.
