Today’s Inspiration
I find this verse a bit contradictory to many others in the Bible because we are taught in many places not to fear God. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love…” (2 Timothy 1:7) I would much rather have a woman with the spirit of power and love than that of fear. The message is more focused on the impermanence of charm and beauty; these qualities are fleeting, but belief in God is endless.
Today’s Prayer Point
Precious Father, I thank You for the woman that brought me into this world, my mother. Without You and without her I would not be here today, praying that I encounter more women that have a strong belief in You. I know that no matter the gender, any person with a power and love for You is one that I would want around me, and I pray that I discover more of them soon. Amen.
