Summary:

When people reject Jesus Christ, it’s because they don’t fully understand Him. Adam and Eve’s sin in the garden of Eden started a war between God and sin; in the Old Testament when the Law of Moses was in effect, God stood in anger and judgment against man. However, when Jesus was born, He was heaven’s peace offering. God is no longer angry with us, because Jesus took all of His wrath when He went to the cross on our behalf.

Notes:
1. Ever since Adam and Eve sinned, war existed between God and man’s sin. Jesus’ birth brought goodwill from God and took away His wrath. Christ came to earth as God’s peace offering. Because of Jesus, God is no longer angry with us.

1. What Jesus did on the cross is bigger than our sin. Sin isn’t the issue; unbelief is. People do not go to hell for sinning, but for rejecting Jesus as the payment for sin.

2. God doesn’t hurt people or cause pain and suffering to get them to change their minds and repent. He uses goodness. Anything good that happens in our lives can be attributed to God.

3. Jesus represents God’s perfect love. We must focus on Him and His love, not on our sinful actions. Jesus took care of the sin issue; therefore, it’s not an issue with God.

4. We don’t need to be perfect for God to move in our lives. All we need to do is believe. When we have faith, God sees us as holy, righteous, and pure. He’s forgotten our sins
