Devotional Message

When God told Joshua to “be strong and courageous,” He wasn’t giving him a motivational pep talk—He was issuing a command based on a reality. Joshua was stepping into a massive responsibility, leading millions of people into unfamiliar territory. Fear was a natural human reaction, but God shifted Joshua’s attention away from his own limitations and onto God’s unlimited presence.

True courage isn’t the total absence of fear or anxiety; it is the deep conviction that God is standing right beside you in the middle of it. Whatever giant or daunting task you are facing today—a difficult conversation, a financial challenge, or a daunting career transition—you don’t have to summon strength from within yourself. God goes before you, walks beside you, and holds you from behind. Step forward boldly knowing that His power is perfected in your weakness.

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for promising never to leave me or forsake me. Lord, when uncertainty or fear tries to grip my heart today, remind me that Your presence goes wherever I go.

Fill me with Holy Spirit courage so I can face every challenge with steady confidence. Help me not to shrink back in fear or be intimidated by circumstances, but to stand firm on Your promises. Remind me that You are bigger than any problem on my schedule and stronger than any opposition I might encounter.
