TOPIC: Divinely Directed
FOCUS: “And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.” (1 Kings 17: 4)
It is instructive to observe that God first sent Elijah to the brook Cherith, and also told Elijah that He had commanded ravens to feed him. The waters from the brook were there ahead of time, but the ravens only came with food after Elijah had come to the brook. Elijah had to follow divine direction before divine provision fully located him. Elijah had to go in the direction that God called him to, before the fullness of provision came.
Friend, you may be desirous of divine provision, but God says, do well to first follow divine direction. Where has God asked you to go to? Where has He asked you to pitch your tent? Who has God asked you to serve and follow? What direction has God given to your life? What divine instruction are you currently obeying as you seek divine provision? Where has God asked you to leave and where has He asked your ship to berth?
Notice that the ravens did not wait ahead of time with food for Elijah; they only came after Elijah showed up at the brook. In fact, all that there was at the brook, was water; but after Elijah fully obeyed in following divine direction, more divine provision followed. The fullness of divine provision may not locate you until you do all that God has asked you to do. The fullness of the help you seek may not manifest until you fully follow the pathway that God Himself has asked you to follow.
Notice that not everyone was asked to go to the Brook Cherith. Others were in famine and had their own hard time to deal with, but it was only Elijah that was commanded to go to Cherith. Most times, the direction that God would have you follow, may not be popular amongst those in your circle. God may often send you away and send you in the direction that no one else is interested in. God often has His own pathway for you.
Stay in the pathway that heaven ordained for you, and you will experience divine provision to its fullest. Stay in that place where heaven has called you to be, no matter how unpopular it is, and you will witness a multiplication of divine provision beyond your imaginations.
Matthew 6: 33 says: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
DECLARATION: I choose to follow divine direction; I will experience the fullness of divine provision, in Jesus’ name!
