PRAISE AND WORSHIP

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY
𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗕𝗘 𝗔 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗪 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘, 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗝𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗦.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 10:1-14

1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year* continually* make the comers thereunto perfect.
2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8 Above when he said*, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And* every priest standeth daily* ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool*.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

MFM DEVOTIONAL 28TH MARCH 2024 MESSAGE

The English word “perfect” signifies a completed work or project that needs no addition or subtraction. It refers to a perfect finishing that puts a seal of excellence on that work or thing.

Our God is perfect and His works are perfect, leaving no blemish, doubt, nor anything to add or remove. He is the embodiment of perfection. Whatever He does cannot be categorised as yet to be done or finished. It is not only a perfect work but the perfect work from the all-perfect God. This includes the work of the Cross upon which Jesus died for the sins of mankind.

Having no sins, but at the request of the Father, He surrendered Himself for this once-for all sacrifice, for the redemption of man and reconciliation to God through His blood that was shed on the Cross of Calvary.

This is a serious matter that concerns you and me, if you are a sincere and committed child of God. Jesus paid for our sins through His blood even before we ever came to know and accept Him as our Lord and Saviour. He willingly placed Himself as the one and only sacrifice that is able to replace the yearly offerings that was done by the priests in the Old Testament.

The blood of animals couldn’t redeem man. Hence, the perfect sacrifice offered by Jesus our High Priest. Beloved, for your sake and my sake, He was both the high priest and the sacrifice! The Cross was the place of the offering to God Almighty.

What a love and compassion for Jesus to have done all these for our sakes! You don’t have anything to offer Him in return but your heart, your conscience and your entire life. It is through this perfect sacrifice that we access the throne of grace with boldness and ask for mercy (Hebrews 4:16). If not for this sacrifice, your existence would not find meaning.

As a child of God, Jesus’ life, death and resurrection bring meaning into who we are and to whom we belong. To have this realisation, therefore, is to be forever grateful to God, and make yourself also a living sacrifice everyday of your life, which the Bible calls “your reasonable service, worthy and acceptable service unto God.”
