TOPIC: You Are Qualified
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 3:6 (NKJV) I planted, Appollos watered, but God gave the increase.
GoodNews Daily Devotional 27th September 2022 MESSAGE
The scripture for today speaks of three basic aspects of an agricultural process: planting, watering and increasing. The first two are done by men, the last one is only God that makes it happen. When you hear and see branches of the church springing up in every city, country, and continent, you should be excited and celebrate. Probably, the planting has been done before you arrived on the scene, but that does not exclude you from watering. Watering what has been planted does not require special skills.
If you are excited about the children’s ministry in the local branch, then volunteer your services there. If it’s singing, then register your interest with the praise team or choir or hospitality, then join the ushers etc. Whatever you want to do in the house of the Lord to water His vineyard, there is room for you.
There is one area where everyone is welcome, that’s in giving to ensure that the Good News is spread throughout the earth and more churches are planted: in that way you are involved in planting. Giving excuses is not an option, you are qualified! God expects you to be active in ministry. You have the gift, talent, and potential to attain that stature in Christ.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
There is no task that I cannot perform through the Holy Spirit in me. I have the calling and gift to fully participate in the work of the Lord. I can never sit nor be passive anymore, I am now full of energy to promote the Good News! Hallelujah!
