TOPIC: Honours That Refreshes
SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 (KJV) – And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
Why will Apostle Paul deem it important to mention “highly esteemed” inrespecting leaders placed over you? God is the one who chooses a vessel, so by honouring that Man of God, you are honouring God. A Man of God carries a degree of grace; hence your level of submission, honour and respect will trigger the anointing they carry working for you. The anointing that you truly honour and respect will certainly work for you. The moment you decide to unconditionally honour those placed over you even in leadership, the sooner your life will experience growth.
There is a lot that a Man of God does behind the scenes. Remember, he’s a man of God, not your man, so holding a man of God in the highest esteem is honouring God, who chose him. The man of God is the vessel that God uses to bless you, so you have a responsibility to honour him.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I will be deliberate and choose to honour and respect those that are placed over me. I shall be a son of consolation, prepare to honour those placed over me in deeds and in words, and I will shine forth wherever I go in the name of Jesus. Amen!
